Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 1 has released and is available to download. There are several changes since Ubuntu 12.04 alpha 2. The news features that is implement by default in Ubuntu 12.04 alpha 2 HUD(Head-up-display) has been enhanced in beta 1. The main awaited HUD features is now available with 12.04 beta 1. Simply press Alt key to use this features.
A new Unity home lens displays the recent files and application seperated in three different category Recent Apps, Recent files, Downloads with a quick option to show or hide more result.
The new video lens enhances the multimedia experiences, finding the video from your local computer as well as from various video sharing website including YOUTUBE, TED talks, Vimeo, Daily motion depending on your location.
New Privacy Option
This is completely new features since ubuntu 12.04 beta 1. Privacy option let you choose the activity that you dont’ want to record including files and application. Additionaly you can always delete the history and also asign a task to automatically delete the history based on hours, days week. Record Activity can be simply off with a click of a button
Ubuntu one client got a QT interface replacing old GTK interace.
Additionally, Rhythmbox got its Ubuntu One Music Store plugin back, though it’s not enabled by default:

The loginbox has a new look with the display of session logo. There’s also a new Unity Greeter sesssion chooser dialog.
