Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha 1 released(screenshot and Video)

precise `a;pha 1 precise The alpha version of the upcoming Ubuntu 12.04 LTS(Long Term Support) is released. The code name is “Precise Pangolin”. It includes the Linux Kernel 3.2 and Gnome 3.2. The Ubuntu Developer guys said “Pre-releases of Precise Pangolin are *not* encouraged for anyone needing a stable system or anyone who is not comfortable running into occasional, even frequent breakage”. The version 12.04 alpha have the following features:

Linux Kernel 3.2.1.

The Ubuntu 11.10 consisted of Linux Kernel 3.0.0 whereas 12.04 have Linux Kernel 3.2.1.

Mozilla 9.0 as default web browser and Mozilla Thunderbird 9.0 as Default email-client.

Ubuntu 12.10 Alpha 1 has Mozilla 9.0 as the default web browser and Thunderbird as the default email-client. Thunderbird has been replaced as default email client since Ubuntu 11.10 and is still the same.

RhythmBox default music player, Banshee is completely removed.

Banshee music player, which was available in 11.10 as default has been completely removed in Ubuntu 12.04 alpha 1. Rhythm Box is the default music player for Ubuntu 12.04.

Tomboy has been removed from Ubuntu 12.04

Tomboy is a simple desktop note-taking application for Linux which have potential to help you organize the ideas and information you deal with every day has been completely remove from Ubuntu 12.04

Muti Monitor Support(Upto 6monitors)

This one is pretty impressive. Ubuntu 12.04 can support 6 monitors at the same time.

Precise Pangolin will land six months after Oneiric Ocelot in April 2012. The full version of Precise Pangolin 12.04 Long Term Support will be released in April 2012.
