Installing Google earth might be some big deal for beginner Ubuntu user. Google earth is available for Linux operating system. You can simply download Google Earth package for for Debian or Ubuntu for both 32 and 64 bits. Its not a big deal to install it for the people who are used to Ubuntu. But for beginners it might be very suffocation task. Here is the simple and quickest way to install Google Earth in Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal.
To install Google Earth in Ubuntu 11.04 open the terminal(ctrl+alt+T) and run the following command
sudo apt-get install googleearth-package lsb-core
After downloading lsb core package you have to make the Google Earth package for installation.
sudo make-googleearth-package --force
Now you can simply run the deb file that has been downloaded on your system and run it for the installation process. You can also install this through terminal
sudo dpkg -i /PATH/TO/googleearth_188.8.131.527+0.6.0-1_i386.deb
Replace the /PATH/TO with the location of Google Earth DEB package in your Ubuntu.
