Linux is the one of the best open source operating system but most of the linux user faces the problem of installing windows exe (executable files) in linux. There is always question in their mind how to install some windows application in linux operating system. Previously user have no alternatives as linux doesn’t support exe files. Therefore user have to find the alternative of the problem that is in linux platform. Now with Ubuntu 10.04 user can run exe files easily with the help of application called wine.
1. Download ubuntu 10.04 and install in your computer if you don’t have it
2. After installing it go to Application then choose Ubuntu support center from drop down menu
3. Search wine in Ubuntu support center and click on install.
4. After installing it go to any windows exe file , right click on it and choose Open with wine window program loader. Then the set up fill will execute and you can successfully install windows exe file in ubuntu 10.04

when i want to install ”wine microsoft compatability layer(Beta Realese)” it shows like ”previous installation has not been completed” how i can resolve this…pls reply me as early as possible…
Wine that you want to install is still in beta. Therefore first you need to install the wine and start the upgrade process. Please follow the below link to fix wine upgrade process. It will works.

Hey we don’t need modem drivers or any pc suit to use our mobiles as modem in ubuntu i will tell u how to use it as a modem without pc suit.
Start your ubuntu join your mobile to it on pc suit mode then at the top right of the screen u can see an icon looking like a signal and with a red question tag click on it and u can now see “mobile broadband” option click on it and configure it further according to your country,service provider etc then select connect and we are done with internet on ubuntu without any pc suit …..u can also email me at tejasnagon@gmail.com so i can help you out more

I am trying to install and use the windows software for which i have license too.
I have succeeded in installing the programs and short cuts are appearing on the desktop too. But when i run this program there is an error. One a screen appears having heading as MIDI. nothing is displayed inside the window.

I have install it using wine on Ubuntu 11.10.
I have loved Ubuntu but I require these software for my professional works.
hence i need some sort of solutions. so that i can shift to Ubuntu.
One more thing. the error which i am talking about had also appeared in window too.
It appeared when I tried to use the software in LAN in my net book directly without install it on net book.
Also On one of my work stations in office i have WinXp service pack 3. there also same error accrued but the win man software support team was able to help me out.
