How to Convert ogv into avi in Linux(GUI Based)

Those who are using recordmydesktop for screeencasting will export ogv file format which can’t be directly uploaded into youtube and various video sharing websites. Well for GNOME user I have presented a quick way to record your screen which results your output video into webm which is supported by various video sharing website. There are different ways to convert ogv into avi file format. I am going to show one of the easiest way to do it with the help of application called Devede

Video Tutorial

This process is very simple just install the devede application from Ubuntu software center of from terminal

devede installatino ubuntu

From Terminal

sudo apt-get install Devede

1.After Installing this application run the application
2. Choose create
convert-ogv-avi
Create file compilant with Div home players(the last option)

3. Add ogv file what you want to convert. Choose 185 MB CD media size, default format NTSC. After adding file click on forwards. Its takes few minute to convert file into ogv into avi.
